(c) The sequence generated θ has both yellow and blue regions rectified. Notice that using a simple ad-hoc scheme of counting the number of reads in the reference sequence one would have made use of (b) for assembly of novel genome. However, using MDL one can now use (c) for the assembly of the novel genome.
