It is remarkable that although some of the branches converge to a large node forming a major module, many of the branches do not converge to large nodes. This suggests that much of Transthyretin lacks the structural stability that comes with large nodes composed of many interdependent branches. This may provide insight as to why Transthyretin is susceptible to misfolding.
